Traffic Lights and Sanskrit???
What has Sanskrit got to do with a Traffic Light?
Well, it's all about STOP, LOOK and Go.
We would be learning root words today that are linked with traffic light signals.
All of us know that Red means STOP, Orange/Amber means LOOK, Green means GO.
So how is this linked with Sanskrit? Let's take a look!
स्थाप्(sthAp) root word for STOP in Sanskrit
लोच् (loc) root word for LOOK in Sanskrit
गच्छ्(gacC) root word for Go in Sanskrit.
There you go!
The next time you wait at a traffic light just remember स्थाप्(sthAp), लोच् (loc) and गच्छ्(gacC)!
