One of the best ways to learn a new language is by listening to songs.
Even though we might not fully understand it yet but we need to form pathways in our brain to create familiarity to the impressions of sound.
We humans learn through our active senses.
For those of us who are able to hear and see, we rely a lot on auditory and visual input.
Each input forms impressions in our brain what I call "cerebral apps" where even though we might not actively recall everything we heard or saw but it remains in our subconscious which can be accessed anytime.
One also learns faster by singing songs in the language we desire to know.
Again ..we need not understand every word we sing because mostly we sing by sound recognition more than understanding the meaning of each word.
Just like reading, the human brain reads by word recognition and not be spelling each word.
The brain recognizes the first and last letter in a word and the rest goes by recognition the word by its previous imprint created by initial exposure to the word.
So learning is all about creating new pathways in the brain and also keeping it activated.
To study something new we first need the interest..then perseverance BUT we have to remember our perseverance can wax and wane like the moon.
There would be the days where we feel totally roller coaster high to study and there are days we might be feel total inertia.
This is normal...our 50 shades of grey matter takes a break from time to time.
Just keep going.
This is when I recommend listening to songs to refresh our memory.
